2008_05_19 Bedroom walls and kitchen and dining room walls

The first picture below is just a view of the exterior log wall inside the master bedroom.


This one is a closer view than the one previously shown of the log siding wall put up in the kitchen so that the cabinets can be mounted to it instead of to the log wall itself. That is so that shrinkage of the logs over time won't cause any stress to be put on the cabinets. That is accomplished by nailing the siding wall to the logs by nailing through vertical slots in the studs so that the nails can slide downward as needed without pulling on the log siding wall onto which the cabinets are attached.
